The most useful thing to know about Lattafa is that it is not one thing. Two of its biggest sellers behave completely differently in a shared room, and buying the wrong one for your life is the most common mistake people make with this house.

Yara is fine at your desk with two sprays. Khamrah is not fine at one.

Khamrah: strong, long, and built for cold evenings

Wearers report eight to ten hours on most skin, twelve or more on cooler skin, six to eight on warmer or oilier skin. It is one of the strongest performers at any price, let alone this one.

The catch is reach. Reviewers repeatedly warn that it projects too far for a shared office or cubicle, and some report that even a single spray feels like too much — the cinnamon is intense and it does not stay politely near you.

Cold weather amplifies it noticeably. Reports put its peak season as October through March, and it projects harder and lasts longer in cold air than in summer heat.

Wear it for: dinners, dates, evenings out, weekends, cold-weather occasions. Don't wear it for: the office, hot afternoons, anywhere enclosed. Application: one spray, and test on a weekend before committing to a workday.

Yara: the desk-safe one

Yara is the opposite case, and its reputation misleads people in the other direction.

It runs six to eight hours on most skin — five to seven on dry skin, eight to ten on moisturised or oily. It is noticeably present for the first two or three hours and then settles close to the skin.

Crucially, it is not a room-filler. Wearers who use it for work consistently report that it does not take over a meeting room while still being noticed by people who come close. Two sprays is the sensible ceiling for an office.

Lattafa's fragrances are cheap enough that people buy three at once, and that is exactly how you end up with two you never reach for. A better approach:

Decide the occasion first, then pick. Most of this house sits at the sweet, warm, high-performance end, which is superb for evenings and cold weather and genuinely difficult for offices and summer. If you need a work fragrance, you are shopping in a small corner of the range, not the whole thing.

Assume cold-weather amplification. These are not summer scents by default. A bottle that feels balanced in November can be overwhelming in July, on the same skin, at the same number of sprays.

Mayar is the notable exception — considerably cooler while staying sweet, which makes it the most plausible warm-weather option in the range.

Yara Candy sits marginally drier than Yara in the same register rather than being the sweeter flanker its name suggests.
